Alexander Afenduli (1928 – 1996) was a Greek diplomat who had a special relationship with Switzerland, where he spent his childhood, where he was posted and where he retired.

Passionate about the world today and its challenges, with a deep sense of justice and humanism, he attached particular importance to education and culture.

Through a strict selection process, the Alexandre Afenduli Foundation supports a number of projects related to Hellenism, giving priority to scholarships for Greek students.
